AKHIRE is a private Alaskan company based in Alaska. We are not a franchised unit connected to a lower 49 agency. All of our managers, staff and shareholders are Alaskans.
The concept for AKHIRE was created and developed in the winter of 2004 on a napkin during an Alaskan snowstorm by three close friends and business partners while sitting at the Hanger in Juneau, Alaska. A few months later we made our first placement with the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce. From there we were off to the races and by the end of 2005, we had 40 employees.
Since that snowy day, AKHIRE has successfully placed and managed well over 2,000 Alaskans at 250 of Alaska’s top businesses. We now have an office in Juneau and Anchorage, have made placements in almost every region, and in almost every industry in Alaska.
We are rather proud of the fact that AKHIRE is a home grown business success. Part of what made AKHIRE a success was our firsthand understanding of what makes Alaska special, and at times a difficult place to find and hire employees.
