***Inadmissibility Into Canada Information Alaska Ocean Rangers are required to be able to enter and exit Canada as visitors - there can be no exceptions allowable for any Alaska Ocean Ranger. It is impossible for an Alaska Ocean Ranger to complete their assigned schedule without this ability. In summary, anyone being considered for an Alaska Ocean Ranger position must be admissible to Canada. If there is a past record of a criminal office (includes DUI) a person being considered must have obtained a rehabilitation certificate. These certificates can be had by making application and paying a fee. Fees can vary depending on the seriousness of the crime. If you have committed or been convicted of a criminal offense, you may not be allowed to enter Canada. Criminal offenses include both minor and serious offenses, such as theft, assault, manslaughter, dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. For a complete list of criminal offenses in Canada, consult the Canadian Criminal Code. If you were convicted of a crime when you were under the age of 18, you can probably still enter Canada. See the Related Links below for even more information about admissibility. More Information: Are you inadmissible to Canada?
