Here’s how our temp to hire staffing option works:
The temp-to-hire option starts out very much like our temporary option outlined online. We provide an employee to you as a temp employee, for as long or as short as you need them. The employee works for us, and is assigned to work for you as a temp.
The temp-to-hire option allows you the freedom to make our temp employee a permanent member of your team and convert them to your own payroll. You are certainly welcome to do this at anytime during their assignment.
However, if a temp employee is hired directly as a full-time employee, part-time employee or contractor by you or one of your affiliates, and the temp employee has worked less than 640 hours for you as a temp there is a placement fee.
The placement fee is based on a simple scale that declines as the employee approaches the 640 hour mark. If the employee has worked more than 640 hours there is no placement fee to convert the temp employee.
In most cases this temp-to-hire period is considered a “probationary” period that allows you and the employee to become comfortable with the match before you permanently hire them.
